Lactobacillus is the largest group of lactic acid bacteria and has many uses in industry and health. Studies have shown that soil rhizosphere bacteria (including Lactobacillus) are effective in plant growth and health in various ways. According to these studies, the use of probiotic bacteria in agriculture can also improve the growth and health of plants. These bacteria can be used as biofertilizers and increase the production of agricultural products with higher quality and nutritional value. Also, using probiotics in agriculture can help reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture and thus help protect the environment and improve the health of society. Rhizosphere microorganisms have very beneficial effects on the growth and health of plants by providing nutrients, phytohormones, and compounds suppressing pathogens or increasing resistance to biological stresses such as heat, salinity, and drought. The characteristic of rhizosphere samples for the isolation of plant probiotic bacteria is their direct contact with the plant and soil.This study aims to investigate the biochemical analysis of lactobacilli isolated from rice rhizosphere. By preparing a sample dilution of ۰ to ۱۰-۷ and transferring it to the MRS agar medium.(Lactobacillus-specific culture medium) by phenotypic method (gram staining and biochemical tests such as Catalase, Oxidase, KOH, SIM, TSI, Simmons citrate, MR-VP, and Carbohydrate fermentation. Among ۲۰ isolated strains, ۱۶ were Gram-positive, bacilli, Oxidase, and catalase-negative. this research showed that rice soil rhizosphere is a good source for Lactobacillus identification.
