Abstract:

Background: The dental industry has seen significant advancements in recent years, particularly with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. AI's role in enhancing the design and production of dental prostheses is a topic of increasing importance.Objective: This study aims to explore the impact of AI on the efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality of dental prostheses, highlighting the transformative potential of AI in dental practices.Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted, focusing on peer-reviewed articles, case studies, and reports published from ۲۰۱۰ to ۲۰۲۳. The review assessed various AI applications, including machine learning algorithms, computer-aided design (CAD), and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) systems in the dental prosthetics field. Key performance indicators such as design precision, production time, and patient satisfaction were analyzed.Results: AI has significantly improved the design process of dental prostheses. Machine learning algorithms enhance the precision of digital impressions and ۳D modeling, resulting in highly accurate prosthetic designs that fit better and require fewer adjustments. CAD systems, powered by AI, allow for more sophisticated and personalized prosthesis designs. On the production side, AI-integrated CAM systems streamline the manufacturing process, reducing production time by up to ۵۰% and minimizing human error. Additionally, AI-driven predictive analytics help in anticipating potential design and manufacturing issues, further improving efficiency and quality. Patient satisfaction has also seen an upward trend due to the improved fit and reduced wait times.Conclusion: The incorporation of AI in the design and production of dental prostheses has led to substantial improvements in precision, efficiency, and patient outcomes. As AI technologies continue to evolve, their integration into dental practices is expected to expand, offering even greater benefits in the future
