Abstract:

Iranian architecture is deeply symbolic and conceptual, since its foundations are from nature and its forces (light, water, wind and soil), in fact, these matters have been taken care of in the highest degree. Sustainable architecture or environmental architecture is design and construction based on environmental considerations, with use of indigenous and local materials. Sustainable architecture is one of the important developments in the field of architecture, the purpose of which is building design based on optimization of energy consumption and sustainability principles. Sustainable architecture does not mean that the building has high resistance or long life, but it means that special attention is paid to the environment in construction and design is done based on that. Sustainable architecture is actually a subset of sustainable design, which can perhaps be considered as one of the important contemporary currents, which is a logical response to the problems of the industrial age. For example, ۵۰% of fuel reserves are consumed in buildings, which in turn has led to environmental crises. Therefore, the necessity of creating and developing the category of sustainability in architecture is clearly visible. In this article, special attention has been paid to the principles of design in sustainable architecture , and we will also review the information using existing documents and case examples
