Abstract:
This document explores the transformative role of nanoparticles in tissue engineering, highlighting their potential to enhance scaffold properties and support tissue regeneration. By integrating nanotechnology, researchers can develop biomaterials that mimic the extracellular matrix, providing a conducive environment for cell growth and differentiation. Key nanoparticles, such as graphene oxide and gold nanoparticles, are examined for their unique physicochemical properties, which improve mechanical strength, biocompatibility, and bioactivity of scaffolds. The document discusses various in vivo and in vitro studies that demonstrate the effectiveness of nanoengineered scaffolds in promoting cellular activities, such as adhesion, proliferation, and tissue integration. Additionally, it addresses the challenges associated with assessing the long-term safety and toxicity of these materials, emphasizing the need for comprehensive evaluations.
