Abstract:

The present paper is a review paper focusing on the need ways of adopting constructivism in the teaching and learning process. constructivism has been a very powerful model for explaining how knowledge is produced in the world as well as how students learn. This paper sketches the need and the importance to redefine education to include more critical thinking by adopting constructivist pedagogy. The paper also proposes the important aspects such as integration of social and emotional learning in learning process for adoption of constructivism in classrooms, learners and teachers, besides this it also outlines the learning strategies and learning design required and needed for successful implementation of constructivism in teaching learning process. The conclusion highlights the ongoing importance of the constructivism to shape the future teaching, learning, and classrooms in the world.
