Abstract:
The purpose of present research is to study the relationship between organizational performance improvement and employees’ mental health. To this end, industrial organizations in chabahar City is studied. Its statistical population consists of 272 employees of the organizations of whom 180 males and 92 females were selected randomly. Data collection was conducted by two organizational performance improvement and mental health questionnaire methods. The methodology is descriptive and correlation – type. To analyze data, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, variances equality tests as well as t test are utilized. The findings show that there is a significant relationship between employees’ organizational performance improvement in industrial organizations and mental health so that any increase in mental health aspects promotes performance to the same level. In the meantime, there is no significant relationship between employees’ organizational performance improvement and their gender and there is no significant difference on mental health status between male and female staff. Considering obtained results, one can conclude that low mental health level among employees can reduce their organizational performance. Managers should use proper methods to decrease the negative consequences resulted from the lack of mental health in industrial workplaces.
