Abstract:

In a nutshell, IoT is the concept of connecting any device to the internet and other connected devices. All instruments in the network interact with each other to collect and share data. Today, IoT is being used extensively to lessen the burden on humans. As IoT becomes more widespread, organizations must consider leveraging it to achieve their business goals. Project managers must ensure that IoT projects are appropriately planned, executed, and monitored, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, sponsors, and team members. Evaluating the quality, efficiency, and performance of IoT devices, systems, and architecture is crucial. However, potential pitfalls include compromised personal security, a lack of power sources, and data overload. In the construction industry, IoT technology can improve safety management by providing real-time monitoring and hazard warnings, reducing accidents and injuries. IoT applications include home automation systems, smart homes, smart door locks, and LED-equipped streetlights. Challenges in the IoT include security and privacy due to threats, cyberattacks, risks, and vulnerabilities. This research aims to study about project management, focusing on their effectiveness, advantages, disadvantages, and feasibility in various contexts and aiming to understand and address challenges. With such a broad spectrum of applications, the future of IoT looks more promising than ever before.
