Abstract:

The importance of Emotional intelligence (EI) for management success has been established. EI is a collection of personality traits that help individuals cope with life's challenges and make appropriate decisions. However, decision-making in project management requires appropriate methods, especially for project managers. This paper explores the impact of EI on project success, reviewing previous literature on EI competencies and their impact on employee satisfaction and project success. Results of study indicate that developing EI capabilities will contribute to increased project management success. using EI in project management enhances team collaboration, improves communication, and enables better conflict resolution. managers with high EI can understand and manage their own emotions as well as those of their team members, leading to a more cohesive work environment and increased motivation. this ultimately contributes to more successful project outcomes by fostering an atmosphere where team members feel valued and understood. team members as it provides insights into capabilities which have the potential to further improve project performance.
