خلاصه مقاله:
This paper presents a ICA mixture model applied to the identification of crack in defective area evaluated by guided wave inspection. Piezoelectric disks are employed to activate and capture the Lamb wave signals. The position of crack is assumed to be on a line on which the actuator and sensors are located. The propagation of Lamb waves in aluminium plate-like structures is considerably complicated due to phenomena such as multimode excitation, wave dispersion, material attenuation, boundary reflection. The defects change the wave propagation between the actuator and the sensors producing particular spectrum elements which are considered as the sources of the underlying ICA model. By using ICA the source of propagated wave is separated while one of them is crack. These sources and their corresponding transfer functions to the sensors make a signature of the different modes of guided wave. We demonstrate the model with finite element simulation
