At the same time, the city is also a place of great managerial and human challenges and problems. Now, the Internet of Things technology has provided creative and innovative solutions to solve urban problems. The two concepts of Internet of Things and Smart City are interwoven with each other, and in fact, the Smart City is the result of the implementation and implementation of solutions based on the Internet of Things in the Smart City. In general, the Internet of Things and the smart city are intertwined in ۳ main sectors, and the Internet of Things has different applications in the smart city and its different fields. The main areas of application of Internet of Things in urban areas are ۳ areas of public services, transportation and social services. There are different implementation models for these technologies in the world. For example, in Russia, several smart city projects are successfully implemented every year. A number of these projects also fail, often due to inappropriate assessment of resource requirements and benefits during implementation, complex market structure of technology suppliers, and inefficient implementation. The implementation of Internet of Things solutions in smart cities requires complex solutions which includes input from several stakeholders including manufacturers of data collection devices, telecommunication operators and system integration, and to achieve the desired effects, a strategic approach is needed in the design and implementation of all components of a smart city. In this article, we review urban planning, building smart cities, and the intelligent transportation industry based on the Internet of Things.
