Abstract:
This study examines the application of neuroleadership in healthcare to manage and alleviate patient stress. Neuroleadership, which merges neuroscience principles with leadership practices, offers healthcare professionals tools for developing empathy, emotional regulation, and improved communication—skills essential for navigating stressful patient interactions. Techniques such as mindfulness and active listening are highlighted for their effectiveness in reducing patients' stress responses by fostering supportive healthcare environments. A qualitative review of existing literature and case studies reveals that neuroleadership-based strategies significantly enhance patient experiences and mental well-being. Findings suggest that adopting neuroleadership in clinical settings benefits not only patients but also empowers healthcare staff to handle pressure more effectively. This paper contributes to the field by providing actionable neuroleadership strategies aimed at reducing patient stress, thereby promoting a more compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
