Abstract:
This article aims to review the evaluation of green rating systems in the context of designing recyclable buildings within smart urban infrastructure. The study focuses on widely used rating frameworks such as Envision, BREEAM Infrastructure, and the IS rating system, examining their effectiveness in promoting sustainable practices, energy efficiency, and resource management. Through a comprehensive review of past research, the article highlights the role of these systems in enhancing the environmental performance of urban infrastructure, emphasizing the integration of recyclable materials and smart building technologies. The findings suggest that green rating systems are critical in reducing the ecological footprint of urban development by aligning construction practices with circular economy principles, thus ensuring long-term sustainability and adaptability in smart cities.
