Abstract:
The environmental crisis is worsening due to the burning of fossil fuels, depletion of these resources, and their volatile prices, prompting a more serious consideration of using renewable energy as a heat source for thermodynamic systems. Geothermal energy, an unrestricted and continuous energy source, is gaining attention. This study introduces a system that uses a multigeneration system to enhance the organic Rankine cycle's efficiency using geothermal energy. The results indicate that the auxiliary heater exhibits the highest exergy destruction rate. The energy and exergy efficiency decreases, and the power production and hydrogen production rates increase as the geothermal inlet temperature rises.
