Abstract:
In the present work, ceramic coatings were produced on the surface of Zr ۷۰۲ alloy using micro-arc oxidation method. The effect of the processing mode (potentio- or galvanostatic) and addition of urea to the electrolyte bath on the microstructure and corrosion behavior of the coatings in the simulated body fluid was studied. The results showed that urea increased the corrosion resistance of the coatings significantly. On the other hand, the galvanostatic coating mode resulted in better corrosion performance.
