Cemented Tungsten Carbide hard metals is widely used in demanding industrial applications such as metal cutting tools due to its high hardness, wear resistance, and strength combined with moderate toughness. Currently, many methods were used for the synthesis of tungsten carbide composite nano powders. In the polyacrylamide hydrogel method, the powder size stability is provided via nanometric pores in the polymeric net.In this work, the influence of effective parameter i.e. solution pH on the formation of WC-Co nanopowder, obtained from acrylamide hydrogel method, was studied. The existence of H+ and OH- ions has important effects on the stability of the sol and initial particle size in it. This factor was surveyed at three levels of pH (1.5, 4, and 6.5). In order to determine the ultimate powder qualities, XRD and FESEM analysis were applied. The results show that at the optimal condition, with minimum pH (1.5), the less particle size obtained 50 nm.
