Abstract:
Recent developments in Nanostructured products draw considerable attention to ultrafine grained materials which are normally manufactured by sever plastic deformation (SPD). In this study either of analytical models and finite element method (FEM) are applied in order to obtain strain imposed to specimen as well as calculate strain inhomogeneity in term ofcoefficient of deviation (CV) for an aluminum alloy (AA6101) processed with equal channel angular pressing(ECAP) withdifferent dies angle. Dies with 90,105 and 120 intersecting angles were modeled. Furthermore the effect of friction on forcedisplacement curves was investigated using analytical and numerical approaches. Results show with decrease in die angle average strain and strain inhomogeneity increase. In force-displacement curves, required force increases with decreasing rate when friction factor reduces. In addition energy loss due to friction was computed
