The new synthesized ligand (DADMBTZ =2,2'-diamino-5,5'-dimethyl-4,4'-bithiazole) is used for preparing new 1:2 adduct of [Pb(DADMBTZ)2(NO3)( CH3COO)].H2Oomplex. The characterization was done by IR, 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray determination. The coordination number of Pb incomplex is seven (four by the chelating DADMBTZ and two oxygen atoms of the acetate and one oxygen atom of the nitrate anions). The two ligands act as a bidentateligand which leads to the five-membered chelate rings. The nitrogen atoms of NH2group of the ligand are not coordinated. The coordination geometry of complex show a gap around the Pb(II) ion, occupied possibly by a stereoactive lone pair of electronson lead(II) and coordination around the lead atoms is hemidirected with a significant gap trans to chelating DADMBTZ ligands, nitrate and acetate anions. Complex makes 3-D networks via N-H…O and N-H…N, O-H…O hydrogen bonds.
