In this paper different approaches to model biofiltration processes to treat polluted air were reviewed.Removal of pollutants from air has been a challenge for engineers. Although, many approaches based onphase transfer, diffusion of pollutants within the biofilm, oxygen, pH, temperature, water, nutrients andsubstrate limitation and etc. have been developed by researchers, finding them is not easy. The main aim ofthis study is collecting differents approaches to biofilteration processes model to have a complete source forresearchers and engineers. Results of this paper can be used to inspire new approaches for biofiltrationprocesses modeling
