Abstract:

The main aim of this seminar is in this study; the effect of Montmorillonite-modified (Cloisite15A brand) polypropylene evaluated. And also 3 levels of %1.5; %3.0; and %4.5 and using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM); it was examined. XRD studies showed the structure of Nano composites results from an intercalation structure. (SEM) images showed that added PP-g-ma improves the diffusion capability of modified clay in polypropylene matrix and creates a homogenous structure. The results of mechanical tests on the modified Nano clay shows the presence of PP increases the modulus, tensile strength and flexural strength is compared to pure polypropylene. Flexural and tensile strength of 1.5 to 3.0 wt% Nano clay modified in this study; the effect of Montmorillonite -modified (Cloisite15A) polypropylene is evaluated.
