Abstract:

In this research, the changes in bubbles diameter, number, and temperature difference between saturated solutionand hot body, and the retention time of bubbles in the solution that may occur due to the changes in the heat fluxof pure water during pool boiling process. For this purpose, a set of test equipment was designed and developedto collect test data. Then, the bubbles were graded using Caliper Screen software. To calculate the growth andnucleation rates of bubbles under different fluxes, population balance model was employed. The bubble growthkinetics was obtained by exponential fittings of ΔT against G under different fluxes, and the nucleation kineticsby exponential fittings of ΔT against B under different fluxes. Nucleation and growth kinetics of bubbleformation for pure water obtained in this work respectively is of 1.046 and 2.041 order that is performed for thefirst time in Chemical Engineering Science.
