Abstract:
The adsorption equilibrium of carbon dioxide on pristine multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) was measured. The adsorption isotherm on MWCNT were obtained at temperatures of 3.802 K, 31302 K and 32302 K for carbon dioxide by a static volumetric method. The CO2 adsorption isotherm on MWCNT was compared with zeolite at 3.802 K. Zeolite sample presented higher adsorption capacity for CO2 than MWCNT in same conditions. Maximum adsorption capacities of MWCNT and Zeolite for CO2 at temperature of 3.802 K were 1012. and 305.2 mmol per gram of sdsorbent, respectively. Experimental data of MWCNT were correlated by Freundlich and Sips equations. Also, Experimental data of zeolite was correlated by Freundlich equation. The models gave the best fit with a correlation coefficient greater than .000 for MWCNTs
