Cryptography is the mathematics of secret codes. Symmetric-key block ciphers are the most fundamental elements in many cryptographic systems. They provide confidentiality which is usedin a large variety of applications such as protection of the secrecy of login passwords, e-mailmessages, video transmissions and many other applications.
