Abstract:
Objective: The aim of the present study was to identify the dimensions, components and indicators of human resource training and improvement in fourth generation universities based on the meta-synthesis approach. Method: Current study used a mixed method through which in the initial stage of the research, the qualitative meta-synthesis method of Sandelowski and Barroso (۲۰۰۷) was resorted to. Thus, after identifying the categories, concepts and codes of human resource training and improvement in fourth generation universities and evaluating its validity and reliability, the conceptual model of the research was extracted. In the quantitative stage, including the survey method, using the opinions of experts and evaluating the relative coefficient and content validity index (CVI-CVR), the dimensions, components and indicators of human resource training and improvement in fourth generation universities were identified, extracted and explained. Findings and Results: The research findings introduced a conceptual model as follow; there are ۵ main categories, ۱۸ concepts, and ۱۸۳ codes approved by the panel of experts. Given that, each of these categories (infrastructural and driving factors, skills training, mission orientation, active influence, and transformational orientation) plays a significant role in the process of training and improving the comprehensive human resource management system in fourth-generation universities. Also, the model could be used in the human resource training and improvement system of fourth-generation universities and those in transition from this academic generation.
