Abstract:

Nano zirconium oxide supported cobalt-molybdenum catalyst was prepared via impregnation method. The catalyst was characterized by XRD, FTIR and TEM. The catalystwas used for methane reforming of CO٢. The catalyst was activated with hydrogen in a batch reactor at a temperature of ٥٠٠oC for five hours. The catalyst activity and stabilitymeasurements were carried out in a fixed bed continuous flow reactor. The activityexperiments for methane reforming of CO٢ reaction were carried out with CH٤:CO٢ ratio of١:١, at a temperature range of ٦٧٣-٩٧٣ok. The catalyst stability was studied for ٣٠ hours at a temperature of ٦٠٠oC; the catalyst maintained a good stability at this operation condition. The activation energy of nano zirconium oxide supported cobalt-molybdenum catalyst is ٤٠٫٧٩ kJ/mol.
