Abstract:

Citizenship education is a significant and crucial subject within educational systems and holds a special place in international academic communities of education. In many contemporary modern societies, curricula play a vital role in developing students' citizenship. This article first seeks to examine the status of citizenship education in the educational system of Iran. It then proceeds to analyze the educational systems of other countries, focusing on England, France, and Australia, regarding the degree of attention they pay to citizenship. In terms of purpose, the research method is applied, and from the perspective of data collection, it is descriptive. The statistical population of this research consists of all the ideas of experts in the field of citizenship education and curriculum, as presented in valid national and international sources and documents. The research sample was purposefully selected as the three countries of England, France, and Australia due to their pioneering roles in citizenship education. Finally, the Iranian educational system is compared with the educational systems of these three countries from the perspective of citizenship.
