Abstract:
Distributed systems have played a crucial role in revolutionizing the oil and gas industry by enabling seamless integration of various processes and operations across different locations. This manuscript provides a comprehensive review of the applications, challenges, and advancements of distributed systems in the oil and gas industries. The paper discusses the key technologies, such as cloud computing, edge computing, and Internet of Things (IoT), that are driving the adoption of distributed systems in the industry. Moreover, the manuscript also delves into the benefits and limitations of employing distributed systems in the oil and gas sector, along with future research directions and recommendations. Distributed systems have become an integral part of various industries, including the oil & gas sector. These systems enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability by distributing workload across multiple nodes. This manuscript explores the applications of distributed systems in oil & gas industries, identifies common challenges, and proposes potential solutions.
