Abstract:
Adolescence is one of the most critical developmental stages, characterized by biological, cognitive, and social transitions. In recent years, researchers have increasingly focused on the psychological challenges adolescents face. Anxiety, depression, identity crisis, academic pressure, influence of social media, and peer relationships are among the most significant threats to adolescent mental health. This review aims to examine these psychological challenges based on theoretical frameworks and empirical studies worldwide and propose evidence-based interventions. The findings suggest that family support, life skills education, psychological counseling, and media management are crucial strategies to promote adolescent mental well-being. Understanding these challenges is essential for educators, parents, and policymakers to create supportive environments and reduce the risk of mental health problems during this vulnerable stage of life
