خلاصه مقاله:
The goal of this study was to simulate the wave characteristics in the south of Persian Gulf over a 60-year period. Wind data from the study area, including offshore measurements, satelliteobservations and numerical atmospheric models were collated and analyzed [1], [2]. The modified NCEP/NCAR wind field was chosen as input for the SWAN model because it has the longest duration among wind data sources (1948-2008). Multiplying this wind field by 1.54results in maximum wind speed of 26 m/s which is comparable to the study previously performed by W.H.Melborune in this area. [3]
