خلاصه مقاله:
These days, ports as the key media of land-sea transportation, play an important role in handling deferent types of cargo such as containers, oil products, dry and liquid bulks, minerals, generalcargo, etc. Considering environmental issues along other technical considerations has a significantimportance in provision of master plans for ports. Currently, the technical design of port structures is almost independent of environmental assessments which leads to an undesirableinteraction between technical and environmental issues. As a result, environmental aspects havea weak influence on the overall design. Consequently, a good cooperation between technical and environmental disciplines could have a considerable effect on the quality of the planning. In this article, this close cooperation and the influences of environmental aspects on provision of portsmaster plans have been paid close attention and the master plan of "Persian Gulf port" has specifically been discussed.Persian Gulf port, the eastern neighbor of Shahid Rajaee port, is the first Iranian port in which oilproducts export and transit are taken place by private investors. This subject, consequently, puts this port in a special place amongst Iranian ports. In addition to the main activity, Persian Gulf port is also active in exchanging minerals and general cargo [1]. The above mentioned activities cause a considerably large amount of pollution in the port area,Some of potentially harmful pollutions can be summarized as dispersal of minerals in the air and soil, soil pollution due to oil product leakage in oil terminal and the wastewater produced duringpipeline washing, dredging operation of turning basin and approach channel. Sum of all above problems result in a variety of environmental considerations which should betaken into account wisely [2]. In this article, firstly, a summary of Persian Gulf port master plan is given. Afterward, introducing the different kinds of pollution caused by development programs, applicable solutions are proposed to decline their negative impacts on the environment.
