Global Warming I mpact on Imam Khomeini Port Complex

One of the biggest threats to the environment of the Earth is global warming. Global warming or the warming of the Earth is a phenomenon that has led to the general increase in the temperatureof this planet and its oceans. Several human and natural factors are effective on the temperaturechanges, such as the sun’s eleven-year cycle, minor changes of the Earth’s orbit, the naturalgreenhouse effect or absorption of incoming rays of sun by clouds, particles, ozone and othernatural gases like water steam, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, volcanic eruptions and natural meteorological alterations. The Imam Khomeini Port is protected well from sea waves by a network of sinuous and narrow channels of Khoor Moosa. There are hybrid tidal movements at the mouth and channel of KhoorMoosa during the year, with a spring tide of 3.5 meters and neap tide of 2.9 meters during low rainfalls. Moreover, the maximum tidal range of 6 meters has been reported for the Port basin
