Cathodic Protection for Corrosion Control of Marine and Coastal Reinforced Concrete Structures vs. Global Warming

It’s less than 2 centuries since the invention of Portland cement and it’s already the most popular material in the construction industry. The traditional concrete, the mixture of Portland cement,water, and aggregate is almost always reinforced with steel bars to eliminate the weaknesses allceramic based materials suffer: the very low tensile strengths. Together, They are the cheapest and the most available yet durable and strong composite material in the construction industry.
