Specify of breakwater overtopping in study stage has a significant influence on of breakwater section optimization. Usually in the breakwater design the crest of breakwater has been specifiedbased on overtopping criterion. This criterion is based on lee side of breakwater usage and thestability of rear slope. Heretofore various experimental formulas has been offered to overtoppingcalculation over the breakwater which depend on physical state of breakwater section andhydrodynamic conditions, each of them gives different results that may be near to reality in some conditions and may be far from of reality in other conditions. In this study the measured values of overtopping in the physical modeling of Anzali port breakwater has been evaluated versusvarious experimental formulas which has been extended to overtopping calculations
