Greenhouse gas emission and challenges of maritime industry

One of the important issues in the maritime community, especially the International Maritime Organization is the air pollution and climate change. In this respect, the IMO tried to minimizethe emission of CO2 by approving new regulations and conventions, which in general led to the selection of the annual motto "Climate change: a challenge for IMO Too", depicting the IMO’s general movement and dedication in this regard. Expert forecasts in regard with climate change show that if the emission of greenhouse gases continues at the present rate, the global sea level will rise up to seven meters by 2050
