DVB-SH-A PERFORMANCE AND ANALYSIS IN FADING CHANNELS

This paper evaluated the applicability of DVB-SH-A(Digital Video Broadcasting – Satellite service to Handhelds,OFDM mode) standard in Gaussian (AWGN) and mobile fadingchannel (RA6, TU6). Dependences of BER (Bit Error Ratio) onC/N after turbo decoding in all tested channel models arecompared. Applications for simulation of the transmission weredeveloped in MATLAB. By using this application the BER afterturbo decoding, with respecting the number of iterations andcode rate, can be evaluated.
