Abstract:

In this paper, a multi-block strategy using high-order compact finite-difference scheme isapplied to numerical simulation of compressible fluid flow with parallelizationimplementation. For numerical simulation, the Beam-Warming linearization scheme andAlternate Directional Implicit (ADI) method are used for time-advancement. In addition, thefourth-order compact finite-difference scheme is employed for spatial discretization. Themulti-block technique is implemented to one-dimensional compressible flow inside Shubinnozzle and two-dimensional compressible flow over a bump. The results of multi-blockmethod agree well with the exact solution of Shubin nozzle and the numerical solution ofsingle-block. The multi-block developed code is also parallelized with the message-passinginterface (MPI). The Results show speed-up on 8 processors is about 4.
