خلاصه مقاله:
The use of common reinforced concrete shear walls in high rise buildings is sometimes limited because of the large amount of reinforcement localized at the end ofthe element. A good alternative solution in avoiding this disadvantage is to use composite steel reinforced concrete shear walls (CSRCW) with steel encased profiles. This solutionused for high rise buildings, offers to designers lateral stiffness, shear capacity and high bending resisting moment of the structural walls with even better behavior in cyclic loads like earthquake loading. This study consist of numerical analysis of 1:3 scale ofcomposite shear wall elements. The aim of this study is to introduce a time-saving and precise method, called fiber element method, for analyzing the walls and to verify thenonlinear behavior of a kind of CSRCWs with three different steel shape encased profiles and a common type of CSRW, then comparing them with each other. To establish the accuracy of the analytical model and experimental results for load-displacement,hysteretic responses are studied for cyclic loading. The OpenSees software is used for modelling the discussed shear walls.
