Abstract:

Iranian Oil Company owns and operates several oilfields in the Persian Gulf. Among others, these include Soroosh, Nowrooz, Aboozar and Bahregansar. Associated gas from these facilities is previously being flared to atmosphere and increases the pollution of air and had environmental impact so in order to recover these gas streams and decrease combustion gas concentration in this area, an NGL Recovery Project has been initiated as will be explained as below. The primary objective of this project was to design and install two reliable export gas compression platforms and pipeline receiving facilities that will be used to compress the associated gas streams for export to the proposed NGL Recovery Plant on Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf, through an offshore pipeline compressed and dehydrated gas gathered from the gas compression platforms will be transported through a sub-sea pipeline to a new NGL recovery plant located on Kharg Island.
