خلاصه مقاله:
In metal cutting processes, cutting conditions have an influence on reducing the production cost, time and quality of the final product. In this paper, the effects of cutting conditions in unit production time, cost and roughness of the machined surface is described through a multi-objective mathematical programming model. A new optimization technique based on genetic algorithms (GA) is proposed to determine optimum values of cutting parameters in machining operations. Experimental results show that the proposed genetic algorithm obtains effective solutions. This algorithm can be integrated into an intelligent manufacturing system for solving complex machining optimization problems.
