Abstract:
Artificial sweeteners are materials which are used instead of sugar, and because of their high sugar content , they are used less to sweeten . They don’t have calorie as high as sugar ,so they provide less calories to the body.In this thesis , measurement of Aspartame and Acesulfame K in the diluted solution of soda sample , are performed using HLPC on a reverse phase column and the detection is done by UV detector at 220 nm.Effects of different parameters such as pH , mobile phase ratio , wavelength change, ionic strength and Co2 gas are considered to achieve the optimum conditions to measure these two sweeteners .The calibration curve is linear in the range of 10-350 mg L-1.The correlation coefficient of Aspartame and Acesulfame K is equal to R=0.9997 and R=0.9999, respectively. The relative standard deviation of Aspartame and Acesulfame K is equal to RSD=4/5 and RSD=6/13, respectively. Detection limit Aspartame and Acesulfame K is equal to 2/85 mg L-1 and 3/16 mg L-1. Quantification limit for 2 sweeteners Aspartame and Acesulfame K is determined as 8/57 mg L-1 and 9/49mg L-1 ,respectively
