This paper proposes the Optimal Size and Location of Distributed Generations (DGs) and penetration of Demand Responses (DRs) for Minimizing PowerLosses with good voltage profile in Active Distribution Networks (ADNs). Also the effect of DR for minimizing the power losses in the active distributionnetworks is presented. Different scenarios including variations in the number of DG units, individual or simultaneous placing of DGs and DRs and varied powerfactor for DGs to support reactive power have been established. The proposed algorithm is tested on IEEE 33-bus test distribution system. Genetic algorithm (GA)is used in this paper to solve the Minimizing Power Losses problem
