Density, viscosity and refractive indices ( n(D) ) of ternary mixtures of n-propylacetate + 2-butanol + 2-pentanol and their binary systems n-propylacetate + 2-butanol, 2-butanol +2-pentanol and n-propylacetate + 2-pentanol have been studied at 298.15 K and atmosphericpressure. From the experimental data, the excess molar volumes ( V(E) ), viscosity deviation (Δ ƞ ),absolute synergies of refractive index deviation (Δ n(D) and excess Gibbs free energy ofactivation (Δ G(*E) ) have been calculated. These results have been correlated as a function of molefraction with the Redlich-Kister equation for the binary mixtures and with the Cibulka equationfor the ternary mixture.
