This work presents the effect of the quantum dot’s size on the systems conductance at 0k by applying Landauer-Büttiker and fisher-lee formulas. In this regard, different mathematics concepts such as finite difference method (FDM), transfer matrix method (TMM), and linear transformation (mapping) has been utilized to obtain the transmission matrix which is necessary in the mentioned formulas. The model has been employed on InAs-GaAs quantum dot hetrostructure, and the effect of a single InAs quantum dot’s dimension has been analysed briefly. It has been observed that increasing the quantum dot’s size would increase the structures conductance and also shift the participating electron’s energy to lower ones.
