In the current world, countries and organizations face various and complicated crises, and different techniques such as crisis management or passive defense are applied for reducing its effects or controlling it. The aim of this study is the investigation of the role of leadership and management in facing crisis in organizations. Apart from investigating concepts, definitions and also the opinion of different scientists about the effectiveness of the role of leadership and management in crisis handling will be studiedto see and try to answer a basic question based on theoretical foundations and conducted studies which is to see whether the role of leadership is more significant in facing social crises or the role of management. The methodology of the research is document-research and library studies. The results of this research and comparative studies indicate that managers who have high leadership quality acted more successfully in crisis management
