Evaluating the Effects of Security and Trust in Electronic Payment Systems Usage from the Viewpoint of Customers(A case study of private bank in Iran)

Considering the increasing volume of electronic transactions in world trade, payment systems not aligned with the growing trend of electronic commerce can lead to defeat investments in this area. Design of electronic payment systems require precise and multilateral attitude. However, the most important criterion for success of a payment system is the interest rates of people to using those systems. Studies done show positive attitude towards customers electronic payment systems security, increases their confidence in these systems and this will leads to changes in market and electronic commerce. In this paper, using the mediator variables such as technical support, transaction procedures and security alerts, the relationship between customer perceptions of security and sense of confidence in electronic payment systems and rates of these systems is investigated. For benchmark of Conceptual model, using questionnaires, statistical data from customers of one Iranian private bank were collected. Analysis of research findings using single-sample T test, in 95% confidence level showed significant positive relationship between customer perceptions of security and their trust in electronic payment systems, and the rate of using these systems.
