Determining the Fractal Dimenssion by Using Capillary Pressure Curves

porous media such as soil, sandstones in oil reservoir, packed in chemical engineering, fabrics used in liquid composite molding and wichs in heat pipes consist of numerous irregular pores of different sizes spanning several orders of magniyude in length scales.The pore microstructures , both the pore sizes and the pore-interface, of such porous media exhibit the fractal characteristics and these media are called fractalporous media.Cpillary pressure curves of the cores were measured using a mercury intrusion technique.There have been main models applied to inter fractal dimensions of reservoir rock from caoillary pressure curves measured by mercury intrusion.The four fractal models were derived theoretically and found to be interrelated.Theoretically the values of fractal dimension calculated using the four approaches.
