Role of Main. IS/CMMS in Improvement of Maintenance Efficiency and Decision Support Systems A case study in Overhaul Factory of RAJA Passenger Trains Co.

Today if we have a glance to every factory or industry we could find that each of them are jointed to web and Information Technology (IT) and it shows that IT has very important role in making relationship between each society or industry to survive them in World Trade Marketing (WTO).It seems that with improvement of technology, information systems have became an inevitable part of each industry and this general rule is performed about factories in related with their mainten ance strategies. With looking to history of maintenance strategies we found that the first method of maintenance had used by companies was corrective maintenance that it didn’t requited to information and information systems any more, but as mentioned before with improvement of technology and emerging preventive maintenance and after it predicting maintenance and after that proactive maintenance the need for an information system who could reply the requirement of such as this maintenance strategy was evident. Therefore in this paper authors try to design and introduced a Maintenance Information System (MIS) and a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for improving the maintenance efficiency of overhaul factory of RAJA Co.
