Abstract:

Nanotechnology is one of the most important issues and challenges facing the oilindustry is. That is why the oil industry in the past decade with the development of the fields used in laboratory and field scale, this technology has been significantdevelopment drilling industry is one of the most important sectors. Becausenanotechnology has been considered one of the top methods have many applications in drilling is one of them, we can mention the use of nanotechnology in the drilling equipments. Drilling industry is one of the most expensive and most difficult jobs in the world today use this technology at the forefront of national oil companies in upstream industries are. In this paper, nanotechnology in drilling bits has been investigated. One of the most challenging and the most troublesome drilling equipment, drilling bits is the best it can be used with nanotechnology to reduce drilling costs, the resistance to heat, high-impact drill, and also drilling damage the layers of the earth minimized. As oil and gas resources available every day declining trend, Oil and gas exploration and production industry, the technical challenges have been rising due to changes in well depth and the nature, complexity and risks increasing subsurface with depth, horizontal fracture length to maximize production, the complexity of drilling operations, the profile the wellbore with a number of adverse maternal well to maximize reservoir contactfaces. This leads to increased costs and limited drilling and production levels are. So in this context, the creation of such materials based on nanoscale industry and large, expensive equipment to be able to create a stronger, stiffer and lighter are. Research that has been done in this direction, we can say that this research is beneficial, and economically viable cost effective in this regard, research projects and administrative costs nanotechnology is very noticeable and priorities for investment in the context is important. This problems and challenges, a significant business opportunity for nanomaterials and their capabilities, which can create corrosion, high temperatures and pressures, can withstand shock loads, erosion and other environmental conditions to meet. In this regard, the present study using a library of documents and the literature study and the types of nanomaterials used in the drilling industry paid and also the use of nanomaterials, the structural strength of the part of the drill bit, drill hardness and thermal stability and corrosion prevention is discussed.
