خلاصه مقاله:
Using the wind as a renewable energy source in Iranian buildings is not a new idea; however the form of this use was limited to the direct shape as naturalventilation in traditional periods. This research studies the possibility of using this source to produce electricity to be used in contemporary Iranian buildings.Central building of educational office of Ilam University was selected as a case study in this research. Lighting and other official activities of this building wasanalyzed, and its energy demands were calculated first. Then the wind around this building has been monitored for a period of a week. Based on the averageand the maximum energy demands of this building, and also on the quality and the quantity of the wind around the building, the numbers and types of the wind turbines were selected. In this research, noise problems and site analyses were studied to find out the optimum location of the turbines, to form a local mini power station to cover the energy demands of a contemporary Iranian building.
