Abstract:

Natural conditions due to the geographical situation country of Iran to different ways is affect on mode of lives of it different residents. Some of these effects can be seen in the form and architecture dry areas. Architects desert regions, many techniques have been identified and used in his works, typical of this technique is the ceilings of dome. Traditional domes of Iran is the most outstanding examples of the building roofs dry area over thousands of past years that still some of them in arid regions of the country after centuries have survived. Unfortunately, the problem main is getting rid of this technique and create techniques alien and antithetical with environmental conditions in these areas. Therefore purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the geographical conditions of these areas has a domed roof. In this regard, satellite images, library and field studies were used. Evaluation results show due to the natural conditions these areas, such as a severe bop of wind, sand storms, intense solar radiation, rainfall showers and etc residents of these areas have tried various methods, including ceilings of dome that high level of environmental knowledge and mode of combining nature and architecture and as desert dwellers peak artist and architects to identify these areas of environmental in order to create favorable environment living and space has been considered have used and are counter with this situation. In fact there is balance and harmony between architecture and environmental conditions of these areas.
