Abstract:

An experiment was undertaken to evaluate allelopathic potential of various concentrations (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 %) from leaf, stem and aerial extract of Rapistrum rugosum on some germination parameters (radicle length, plumule length, speed of germination, germination percentage and seedling vigor index), physiological ( chlorophyll a, b and total ) and biochemical (total phenols content) of shoot and leaflet in weeds science laboratory of Gonbad Kavous University in 2013. Results of variance analysis showed that simple effect of studied parts, various concentrations and interaction effect of parts and concentrations except simple effect of part on seedling vigor index were significant at the 1% confidence level. Mean comparison of various parts extract on various studied parameters showed that leaf extract had a greatest effect on the mentioned parameters over stem and aerial part. Interaction effect of studied parts and various concentrations of the treated plant on various parameters showed that in the concentrations of 50, 75 and 100% of studied parts extract except 50% of aerial part was not observed any germination. It was also recorded that interaction effect of studied parts at the 25% had a highest inhibitory effect on chlorophyll a, b and total content over germination parameters.
